Services using stands 9-12 in Queen Square Bus Station are affected. Additionally, routes 30/30E, 30A and 101 are also diverted in Liverpool city centre.
Resurfacing works on the bus station carriageway will commence on Sunday 24 January 2016 and are scheduled for completion by April 2016.
The first phase of the works will involve the ‘downhill’ roadway in the bus station. During this time, stands 9-12 and the alighting stop in the bus station will be out of use. Bus services that normally call at these stands will be diverted in the city centre. Please click here to see where to catch your bus during this phase.
Buses using stands 1-8 will be unaffected during the first phase of works but will be affected by the second phase. More information about the second half of the works will be available nearer the time.
All Queen Square restaurants, the Marriott Hotel, St John’s Shopping Centre and Royal Court Theatre will still be fully accessible for pedestrians throughout the resurfacing works.
Additional bus diversions are as follows:
Routes 30/30E and 30A will travel as normal from Dingle to Liverpool ONE Bus Station, then via Strand Street, James Street, Castle Street, Cook Street, Victoria Street, then as normal route to Maghull (omitting Hanover Street and Elliot Street).
Route 101 will travel as normal from Royal Liverpool Hospital to London Road, then via Commutation Row, Churchill Way, Dale Street, Sir Thomas Street, Whitechapel, Crosshall Street, then as normal route to Princes Parade (omitting Lime Street).
